In addition to musical performances by international stars, chart toppers and up-and-coming artists, the programme also focuses on film, theatre, dance and fashion. During the week of the National Day of Germany at EXPO 2017 on 12 July, the independent rock band Cliff Barnes & the Fear of Winning will perform several concerts. The highlight: The musicians generate the power needed for their performance themselves using specially adapted bicycles. This gives the audience a real glimpse into how many kilowatt hours of electricity need to be generated so that they can experience a concert or a DJ set. This means that the club nights will be an interesting interactive project between the artists and the visitors and will at the same time emphasise the idea of sustainability at the German Pavilion.
